THE IMPORTANT STUFF

I am a Licensed Massage Therapist in the state of Virginia.  I am a long time member of AMTA.

I have 19 years of experience providing massage for pain relief, rehabilitation, sports and relaxation.

I have been trained in a number of modalities and use bits and pieces of each to fit my client's needs. 

PERSONAL STUFF

I was born and raised in Hot Springs, VA.  I moved west in 1984 and returned to Hot Springs in 2015.

In Idaho, I  worked for an auto dealership group as their Human Resource Manager, with a daily commute of 90 miles over a mountain pass.  The last two years of working there I spent quite a bit of time in a chiropractor's office for chronic headaches and neck and shoulder pain.  Eventually I decided to see the massage therapist that worked out of his office.  I had always wanted a massage but thought that was something for people with more money and time than I had.  And then...... After a couple of massage sessions my pain was greatly reduced and the chiropractic visits declined to an occasional adjustment!

During that time I became less and less enchanted with Human Resources.  I needed to be somewhere that allowed me to be happy and excited about what I did.  The other requirement was if there was a (business) mess to be cleaned up, it would be my mess.  Because of the success of the massage therapy I received - it truly is more than "just a luxury" - I realized massage was something I was growing passionate about and wanted to know more.  

So......

Twenty years ago I  went back to school, studying at The American Institute of Clinical Massage in Post Falls, Idaho.  Immediately after graduation I opened and operated New Phase Body Therapies, located in Kellogg, Idaho and was very successful. 

In 2014 my father had become ill and I was needed back here in Virginia.

In July of 2015 I relocated my office to its current location in Mitchelltown, VA. 

I am very blessed to be able to do what I love as work.  Each client that allows me to work on them is appreciated and I always strive to give them my best.
